Terms of Service
By creating an account or using Unpackly (the "Service") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is, and what it is not
Unpackly scans packaged-food labels, extracts ingredient text and produces automated, AI-assisted analyses, optionally personalized to a health profile you provide.
The Service is not medical advice. Analyses are informational only and are no substitute for professional medical, dietary or allergy advice. Text recognition and AI analysis can be wrong or incomplete. Labels may be misread, ingredients missed, and community-contributed ingredient lists may be outdated for the exact package in your hand. If you have a food allergy, intolerance or medical condition, always read the physical product label yourself and consult a qualified professional. Never rely solely on the Service for decisions that could affect your health.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
- You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Account → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload content you have no right to, or content that is unlawful, malicious or intended to disrupt the Service;
- deliberately submit false ingredient information to the shared product knowledge base;
- probe, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the Service, or bypass its rate limits and security controls;
- use the Service to build a competing dataset or service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the Service.
4. Your content and community contributions
You keep ownership of the photos you scan and the content you create. You grant us the license needed to operate the Service (process images, store scan results, sync your lists across devices).
If you confirm or correct a product's ingredient list, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that ingredient text as part of the shared product knowledge base, including after you delete your account (where it remains without any link to you).
5. Availability and changes
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose; and Fuwilabs OÜ is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any health-related outcome resulting from reliance on the Service's analyses. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim (currently the Service is free of charge). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
7. Third-party services
The Service uses third-party providers (for example OpenAI for analysis, and Apple or Google for sign-in) as described in the Privacy Policy. Their availability is outside our control.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these terms. Sections 4, 6 and 9 survive termination.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Fuwilabs OÜ's place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes belong to the courts of that place, except where the consumer-protection law of your country of residence grants you mandatory rights and venue.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
